Woodland Residential Services, Inc. is a small, family owned company which came into existence in January of 2002. Woodland Residential Services or WRS, was formed in 2002 by Shelly Kenealy, Jack Kenealy, Parm Kajley and Sukh “Kaj” Kajley to assure continuity in the lives of the clients living at the Gum, Elliot, North and Evergreen programs in Woodland at the time. Later in 2002, the Marshall and Squaw programs joined the WRS family. Happy Ranch was developed a few years later with a grant from the State of California. Alta California Regional Center assisted in the development of Harmony Day Program which opened in 2007.
WRS, with seven intermediate care facilities, a day program and well over a decade of experience, has built a reputation for quality care. As an established residential services provider for the developmentally disabled we take pride in the caliber of care and experience we provide to our clients.
As providers of residential services to individuals with developmental disabilities, we strive to integrate our clients into society at the highest possible level. We are committed to staff development, training and retention in an effort to help our clients obtain the greatest level of independence possible.
Our philosophy
If you treat an individual as he is, he will stay as he is, but if you treat him as if he were what he ought to be and could be, he will become what he ought to be.
– Goethe (1749-1832)
